We have a 2018 volt that seems to be taking longer to charge fully than it should I don't know if it is the charge time estimator that is on the charging screen that's incorrect, or if it actually takes that long. It estimates it will take 18 plus hours to charge the battery fully. is this normal they're only 36,000 miles on the car

Using 120V or 240V EVSE? Check manual on how to change 8amp or 12amp charging, there is option to have it default to 12 amp at your "home" location automatically. It's covered in your owners manual. When I first got my 2018 Volt I found it took forever to charge because previous owner had set charging to meet his needs. I also then added a 240V outlet. That made a huge difference.
