I have no idea why, but for the last two days I've been receiving "your Volt has completed charging" text alerts. I've searched the RemoteLink app, the myChevrolet app, and the my.chevrolet.com web pages for opt in/opt out settings but can't find a thing. Does anyone know where I can find the on/off 'switch' for these text messages?

My texts for charge notification says to reply with STOP in order to stop them.

There is a bug in the OnStar software and has happened to me twice. Their software is automatically opting me in to text messages.

This is illegal per the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991 and violates it on several points.

I sent a very pointed letter to OnStar and I suggest you do the same. I heard back immediately and they created a case, but I haven't heard anything back yet.

look under notifications in the app myChevrolet

1 . is text to phone --on/off
2. daily notifications--- plug in reminder
3. event notifications -- charge complet on/off and cahrge inturruption on/off
4. Climate notification for low temp
5. zombie apocalypse (comming soon )

I searched both the MyChevrolet app and the RemoteLink app for “Notifications” but find no such section. Can you tell me where to look?

(Can’t find any “text message” options for either app under the iPhone’s notifications settings, either.)

My charge notifications suddenly stopped on October 2nd, and then just miraculously started up again 10 days later. I have no idea why.

Look in Settings, Communication Preferences....
Thanks, but no luck in Communications Preferences. Under “Advanced Diagnostics” I see three maintenance-related options, none of which apply to state of charge, and I’ve opted out of text notifications there in any case. Still looking, and scratching my head.
