Hello

I leased a volt about a month ago. Love it so far. Should have done it three years ago when I leased the RAV EV.

I am having difficulty setting up the programming for charging. I get EV rates and would like for the car to charge past midnight. I tried to set it up that way but all the charging options are grey'ed out. Could not find anything in the user manual. Any help would be much appreciated.

Are you charging when you try to change it? Some times things can't be changed when in use.

If you registered with OnStar, it may be easier to program using your mobile phone app or browser. Otherwise, unplug, shut down, walk 50 or more feet away, wait for 10 minutes, start and try again.

Press the HOME button, then Energy Icon, then Charging button.

See where it says IMMEDIATELY right above the grayed out boxes? Push the IMMEDIATELY row, and voila, up comes your scheduling.

Switch to Departure Time, then set your end of TOU time or the time you go to work for each day. You can also set it to GPS location Departure Time. There is no Start Time, it figures that out.

I did the following:
1. Unplug charging cord.
2. Start he car
3. Tap home
4. Tap power
5. The "Charge Immediately" box is grey'ed out.
