Just a guess but maybe the red font indicates that the Volt would not complete charging using the cord (Level I charging) before the end of the off-peak charging window.
Charging Display for delayed charging
I programmed in the rates so that my car will do delayed charging and start at 11pm (offpeak for me). The car is plugged into 240V via the charger adapter cable (found on this site). However, for the estimates on the charging screen (cord vs station). The time for *cord* has a red font, while the station is white.
What's the difference in font color mean? I know the car will finish charging by the time I leave (7am).
