Chargepoint home??? Can I use J1772 that came with gen1 volt???

I picked up a Chargepoint home at an auction. I looks brand new but didn't come with the J1772 cord. My gen one EVSE crapped out sometime ago, so I was wondering if I could use it instead a buying one from Chargepoint.

Hope you can help.

Thanks

The Home comes as a 16A or 32A model. Which model do you have? What gauge wire is in your J1772 cable?
It is the 32A. But either way it is still 16A per L1 and L2. I probably have that wrong but it is what I was thinking to myself. :)
The original EVSE was designed for and is limited to 12A. The Gen1 will take a max of about 13.75A when connected to an L2. However, unless you can set the max current advertised by the EVSE to something lower, hooking up a vehicle to your EVSE that has the capability of taking 32A, might produce a nasty outcome with wiring that probably isn't safe for that current. I'd suggest selling the old EVSE for parts on eBay and use the funds to buy a quality, high-current J1772 and cable.
