Range and battery SOC are not the same. If the battery is at 90% SOC, say on the OnStar app, then it's not the weather and you should investigate more. If you're deducing the battery SOC is at 90% because the range estimate is down then it may very well be the weather. (You're somewhere it can get cold).

If you could clarify where the information is coming from and why you think the car isn't charging to 100% that would be helpful.

Level e 2 charger. Charge light solid green, range is at 43 miles instead of 53 as I would expect is it the charger or the car?
Those range numbers are mere estimates and are not a reflection of a fully charged battery or not.

Or sometimes, your App really hasn't communicated properly with the vehicle and hasn't given you the latest updates on the battery status and it was stuck based on the last info. It happened to me. It says on the app that car is only 49 miles but when I turned the Volt on the battery range says 54 miles.

If your charge light is truly SOLID green, you have not completed the charge yet. Of course it would not read your full mileage.

If they are on a 2017 IIRC it is flipped from the Gen 1 volts. Sold green means it has finished and flashing means charging.

This gets me sometimes. I have a gen1 and my wife has a gen2. One blinks and one flashes all the time!

But yes, solid green on gen 1 is charging, on gen2 is finished.
