Just a few days ago my center display and radio started rebooting over and over while my 2017 Volt is running. If I'm driving somewhere, have the USB cable plugged in for CarPlay or not....no matter what I do the display is stuck in a boot loop.

Also, the message about having a media device connected displays on the screen when it reboots. This is awful because sometimes my climate control stops working when it reboots....plus I can't see the backup camera or anything.

Anyone have a clue what's going on? I ran a scanner on the car and no faults are thrown and OnStar did a remote diagnostic and they said everything is green. I tried pulling the 7.5 and 15A fuses for RDO and Display and nothing helps.

Try disconnecting the 12V battery for a few minutes, then reconnect. Not sure if this will clear up the infotainment's confused state, but it's worth a try being easy to do and costs nothing.

I had issues with my infotainment system in the past. Basically the backlight would not turn on in hot weather or the system would be 'on' e.g. the LCD light was on but nothing on display and it would be frozen (and very warm to the touch).

To resolve I had to pull three fuses. They were the RDO, display, and Infotainment fuses. I recall that nothing resolved until all three of those were pulled.

Also - when Michael Fisher (aka MrMobile on YouTube) reviewed the Volt, he noted that his Infotainment unit would sporadically reboot and caught it on camera doing so. I know there have been a few bulletins related to the infotainment unit so may also want to check with the dealer to see if something needs to be flashed.

I also have my rebooting on video. I found the RDO and 7.5A Display fuse, I can't find out which exact fuse is for the Infotainment system.....do you know where that is? I guess I could just disconnect the 12 V battery...

My 2019 Volt just started rebooting as well, anything in a GM thread about fixing this under warranty?
Should be covered under the 3 yr/36k mile B2B warranty
