I have a 2016 and use Carplay with Apple maps. Most of the time the volume for map guidance will be inaudibly low, and will not mute the radio and boost the guidance volume as it should. Occasionally it works as intended....but I have not figured out any pattern to the working/not working issue. Anyone else have this problem?

I would delete the phone from the system and reset the infotainment system to factory default. Disconnect and restart the phone. Reconnect and go thru the pairing. Don't forget to put back all your previous settings. That should clear up any problem you are having. Worked for me. Good luck.
