Car will not start up (accessory mode only)

Wondering if anyone else has had this issue. Started when I was just putting something into the car, as the speedometer display came on without me pressing the power button in the car or my my remote/app. Walked over to the driver side, and tried starting car approx. 10 times and speedometer display would come up with all of the warning lights lit. Occasionally a "Service Airbag" message came on. Also when on, the screen would jump between dim and bright about every 3 seconds. Sometimes it wouldn't let me put the car into gear, and other times when I put the car into gear there was no propulsion.

It did this once about a week ago, and I was hoping that this was a one off thing, but every time I have started my car today, I have had to go thru this. Dealership is closed today due to the weather. Will call them tomorrow. Any ideas, or any questions for me?

Mileage is just over 2000 miles, had the car for less than 3 months.
I did not use the remote start function at all during the three times I started the car today. I pressed the start button in the car, and yes, I had my foot on the brake
Dropped off at dealer. Of course it was fine today. I called Onstar today, didn't know that was an option. They couldn't see any current codes, and I guess they can't pull up past history.
I was not getting the shift to park message. Key fob was in my coat pocket, of the coat I wear to work daily. Sounds like the dealer did see some "communication" codes, so waiting to hear back additional information from them tomorrow. The dealership had their tech who worked on electric cars come and ask me a bunch of questions to try to troubleshoot the issue, and see if he could replicate. All of the instances happened when my car was not in our garage, so they are going to try to start tomorrow morning after leaving it outside tonight on a fairly cold night to see if that is a contributing factor. I also mentioned the campaign info listed above for the 12V battery.
Car still in shop. They are updating control module, which is taking a while. Will post more details tomorrow when I pick up car, that will hopefully help anyone else who has this issue.
Body Control Module was replaced and updated. They did a test drive this morning, and the car was fine. They did another test drive this afternoon and same issue, so back to the drawing board. I asked about the service campaign number listed above, and they said that they have gone over all of the possible service campaigns related to this issue with engineering (or Tech or Detroit or whatever it is called) and that they are working hand in hand with them, as they have never seen this issue before.
Latest update is more comm codes are still coming up. It sounds like they are sending our an engineer from HQ to the dealership today to assist.
As of tonight (close of business), still waiting on engineering to advise dealership. I don't know if it helped or not, but I also called into GM, as my less than 3 month old car has now been in the shop for 9 days without resolution. Any other recommendations for escalation?
I see from your signature that you've had some issues with your 2016 Volt. Have they been since rectified, or are you still having issues as well?
Day 14 update - Still troubleshooting. They think it is cold temperature and low speed only that triggers it. Talking about an issue with one of 15 sensors/modules, etc. Headed to dealership today to discuss, as it seems like we are still at (or fairly close) to square one.
