Bacardi is technically correct. Customers cant do orders. The dealear has an allocation of orders (lets say 8 in your dealers case) that they can use to order certain combination of trims/features for 8 vehicles. If you caught them before they put in their allocation order to GM then they may take your specific trim/features and use one of their allocations to get you what you want. Some dealers ( like yours) want to make sure your serious about yiur order and ask that you put money down, but some dont. With the G2 Volt, my delearship didnt ask for a deposit but they made sure that my trim/features were not a wierd combo that hard to sell in case I backed out. If it was a wierd combo, then they required a deposit. That was their practice.
Best advice here. Dealers are not always the best at communicating with customers with regards to orders using their allocation. Typically they say it will be here in 2 months or something like that and expect you to wait. However consumers are spoiled with likes of amazon where you want info tracking every step of the way. I'm definitely guilty of that.
As Qinsp, suggests check the website and follow up with a phone call to find out what is going on with yur Bolt. Good luck.
