I'm Keith from Camden, SC. Just registered for the forum and got on the Volt waiting list. As others have already said, I thank Dr. Lyle, for gaining public exposure to Electric Vehicles.
Living in rural, SC, the average vehicle around here is a full size pick-up truck (I happen to own a Dodge 1500). At $4.00+ for gas, the pick-up sits at home and I have been driving the wife's 2003 Pontiac Sunfire 35 miles each way to work each day.
I am patiently waiting for the Volt. In the meantime, I will take advantage of the 33mpg I get in the Sunfire and smile at all the V-8 pick-ups and huge SUVs I pass on the interstate each day...
