cackling noise from speakers?

so i was hearing these noises every now and then that sounds like ten pebbles hitting my windshield. i paid it no mind until i was noticing that they were coming on every so often. upon further investigation they sound like they are coming from the speakers. i (listen) to youtube stuff on my drive and so when i pause the video the noises stop. sometimes they come on when im listening to pandora or my usb drive music.

any thoughts?

theyre hella annoying sometimes and concerning if my speakers are blown or something wrong with firmware and such. they go away but every now and then they pop up.

The startup sound in my 2017 volt that comes from the speakers is crackled about 1/3rd of the time. I'm not an audiophile but I'd suspect an intermittently bad D/A converter or the like. The issue hasn't crossed into other aspects of my sound experience so it hasn't caused alarm just yet for me to take it in for repair.

It's difficult to take an intermittent issue in for repair as the repairing authority wants to replicate it before able to justify the repair.

If you do take it in for repair, let us know the fix so we can all benefit!
