Not a biggie but just wondering, I got a replacement cabin air filter today, there are no indicators for airflow direction.
I did notice that on my old filter, the top side has thicker paper edge "ribs" on the lateral edges than the bottom side.
Does anyone know if the correct way is to align the thicker paper edge ribs on the top?

If I remember correctly, airflow comes in from the top.

The blower is on the bottom, so it sucks the air from the top.
I have yet to see what the difference would be, though.

If your filter doesn't have direction arrows then it most likely is a bi-directional filter, meaning it doesn't matter.
