I plan to purchase a volt from California and have it shipped to Utah.

I believe there won't be any California sales tax however, I wonder what other general fees the dealer could charge when the vehicle will be registered/titled in a different state.

Any opinions are appreciated.

I bought my '16 at Keyes Chevy in Van Nuyes. You are correct, they did not charge sales tax for California. They did charge the max allowed California dealer fees, but they were minimal, ($80 dealer processing charge + $36 for title transfer, I believe) and much less than Georgia. They sent the documentation to the Ga DMV, although they could have sent them to me, and I could take them to DMV. I arranged the transport, and payed the transport company directly. The whole thing went very smoothly, much to my surprise. If you are looking to buy from Keyes, I can give you some names that I dealt with. In your heading it says BUY not LEASE. At the time I bought the car, they were not doing leases out of state, so, since you are buying, you should have no problem.
Oh, what color and options are you looking at?
Good luck.
