Did try that. Didn't help. Button on knob stays in, locks in transmission stay locked to prevent moving from N to R, or D to L. Not gonna try P with that because the other stuff is still broken and I'd hate to end up with "undrivable" instead of "inconvenienced"....Since you already managed to remove the knob, insert it back straight and it should function correctly
