Makes me wonder if there will also be some kind of lease loyalty/lease conquest incentive released too when Bolts finally arrive at dealers.
Like all car manufactures, incentives are based on the need to push sales. For the Bolt, They will sell all they manufacture without any effort at all, for at least 2017, so the deals we have become use to on the Volt, we won't see on the Bolt, for a very long time, if ever.

Looking likely us Farm Bureau members will be able to cash in at least! :p Except for the people in the handful of states where the $500 FB rebate is not valid.

Don't forget, Colorado FB is only $40, and I understand works in every state where the FB discount is honored by GM (please check your state before joining!).

So all you need to do is get a Farm Bureau membership right before you buy a Bolt, in order to get that discount? How much does that membership cost, and can anyone join?

Cost depends on the state as these are State Farm bureaus. In Minnesota it was $55. You also save $$ on AAA memberships. I was under the impression you have to be in the state to sign up but maybe not...see above.

Anyone can join BUT you have to have been a member for at least 30 days to use the FB offer on a car.

Worked perfectly for us and we got the $500 off our 17 Volt.

I know the Bolt is not listed in the list of eligible vehicles that was published in October. However, that list may not be up to date. I have a pending inquiry with the California farm bureau and waiting to hear back tomorrow one way or the other.
FYI, I got a voice mail back this morning from the California Farm Bureau that states the Bolt should be eligible from the discount and there is nothing in the Farm Bureau contract that excludes it.

However, you do need to be a member for 30 days prior to purchase. The membership in my area is $125 also.

In this rare case, I'd trust a dealer over FB since GM's ordering system must allow it...On the dealership's system the only "additional stackable incentives", my Equinox dealer gave me a screen shot, that is selectable is the $250 off for "GM Extended Family Card" but that's for leasing...But I'm guessing if its excluded for leasing it's excluded for purchase as well...It has never been reported here or the other Bolt forum of it being accepted...

Any forum sponsors want to chime in to settle this once and for all? With all this being said, things are subject change at anytime...
