The Bolt's center console 360° camera view is awesome for parking. The car's proximity to stall lines, curbs, cars, etc. is easily seen. With some testing I found this 360° view will display as you drive the car up to about 5 MPH. Then it shuts off. I had one passenger wonder where the view was coming from, whether it was from a satellite, :) I said no, the car launches a mini surveillance drone (à la Blade Runner 2049), haha.

My Bolt is silver and the car image is also silver, I expect that all Bolt's use the silver image. What color is yours?

I have the surround view in our 2017 GMC Acadia and can't live without it. There have been times I would have parked and walked away with car not centered or where I really wanted it in a parking spot. So I activate it as I start entering a parking spot and can park like a pro. Wish my 2017 Volt had this feature.

Is the color of the Acadia in the camera display the same color as yours?

I think the display may get the colour of the car from the VIN or be otherwise coded in. My Gen1 vehicle images on the dash and on the phone are both white.

Need to find out how to activate the camera at speed. There is a bug that results in the camera being on at highway speeds, but no one can reliably trigger it yet.

My wish is for there to be a hard button to turn on the surround view, even if it only works at low speed. Having to hit "home" and then grope around on the touch screen for two more button presses isn't really acceptable when you're delaying traffic and trying to pull into a parking space.

And then there's the thread talking about a GM product allowing the built in front camera to record to a SD card as a Dash Cam.
So, 360* Dash Cam functions should be possible. But may just be a blur at speed to the sides...

SO MUCH new tech !!!

A little birdie told me that the "Dedicated front/360 cam" button suggestion was forwarded up GM channels, so here's hoping for (if not an OTA update), a dedicated button for future model years.
The birdie also told me that a tweak for the front seats is definitely in the works.

The Cadillac CT6 has an SD slot in the right rear corner of the trunk. It will record the parameter when parked and the car is disturbed, or it will record the front camera when driving. It's low res, low framerate, and too low a POV compared to modern dashcams, but it is better than nothing.

Note: The track camera option on the high performance GM's is extremely good. Damn good. Best OEM? Probably.

Good question, I can't recall. I'll take a peek next time I drive it (it's the wife's car) and get back.
