Interesting to watch the 2016 month-by-month progress as Cruise drove more and more miles with fewer and fewer disengagements, especially after switching to Bolts. I've driven San Francisco a few times in the distant past. I averaged about 3 "oh, S**t" self- disengagements per mile! Nowadays, I take BART into SF and rely on the Muni and walking for in-town travel, no exceptions.

I haven't driven in San Francisco in 10 years and that time was taking a lot of IT equipment to Moscone center when there was no other choice because of timing. I think it took me hours to recover after I got out of there. The only place that was worse for me was driving in Boston during the big ditch project. It would be interesting to test an autonomous try getting out of or into the airport at that time.

SF is a good place to test. Last time driving in SF I followed a student driver out of town. I thought it was a horrible place for a student driver. One of the locals corrected me. If you can drive SF you can drive anywhere. Same for autonomous cars.
