GM should get together the heads of all the families, Oh, I mean battery manufacturers, and set standards for the Auto batteries. Like size, shape, connections, etc. Like Microsoft does to set standards. This will promote development and growth for any current or future auto battery manufacturer.
Anyone agree?

Car manufacturers can't even come up sith a standard air, oil or gas filter for God's sake! Worse, they can't even standardize filters and the like on thier own brands. So you expect them to "get together" and standardize a battery pack for electric cars? Get real!

China will lead the way with eCars

After backing from Warren Buffett, China's richest man is a maker of car batteries and eCars. BYD is poised to be the biggest in the world really soon and, just like with Japan, the Michigan rust belt will be left behind. I'm not happy with this, it's just a fact.

You want to know what kind of batteries will be in all those millions and millions of eCars from BYD? Industry secret but my man in China told me the richest man in China, with Buffett's backing, is building a very large VANADIUM battery manufacturing plant. V-Fe-Li battery is what I've been told.
