On MY 2017, I expect d the time to automatically adjust to day light savings.
In the setting the time, there is an option for auto set but I can't seem to uncheck off-manual option.
Is anyone else having this issue?
Needless to say I set the time manually.

Mine changed on my 2017 Volt, but not on our 2016 Equinox. Odd.

Press the Home icon button on your center display--select settings--select time & date--select set time--select auto set
I have the same problem as the OP. My clock did not auto-set, I had to change it manually. When I follow this menu path, after choosing auto set there is a button for manual that is ticked. Pressing the button does not remove the tick, holding it down doesn't remove the tick, there's no way to uncheck the manual set option, and there's no other option listed.

It must be a bug. Once manual-off is checked it can't be unchecked. The manual says something about an active OnStar session for autoset to work, but even OnStar doesn't know what that means.

Same here.

It's quite a tease for GM to show us the option but not have any way to change it.

Sorry to raise the dead with this post, but I was just curious if anyone has found an answer to this bug? I just bought a new 2017 Premeier and was going through my settings when I accidentally checked the 'set manually' box. Needless to say I've never been able to get it back. The worst part is that the box was definitely unchecked before I hit it by accident. I'm assuming I'm stuck since it appears this is a software bug, but maybe someone's come up with a solution. Considering trying a factory reset on the infotainment system and seeing if that brings it back, has anyone tried this?

I even called OnStar as the manual says an OnStar connection must be active to set auto, but they had no idea what I was talking about. I can't believe they don't use auto-updates from the GPS unit or connected smartphone.

I just made the same mistake -- I accidentally checked the 'set manually' box and now it's forever checked. JATO757, did you ever find a way to uncheck the box without taking your car into the shop?
Looking at the manual, it suggests that the Auto Time comes from OnStar. Do you have an active OnStar account?

I just bought a used 2017 Volt and mine has the same problem. I thought I’d bump the post to the top to see if anyone had a solution. I worked in radio for a long time and I am a little OCD about the clock being set correctly to the second. My old car which had an otherwise terrible infotainment system set the time automatically.

That's odd, and worrisome if true. Android Auto seems to need the car's clock and the phone's clock to be perfectly synced. The only way to do that is to have the car get the time from the cell network.
Since i bought the car used, I am not sure what the previous owner did but I am guessing that he/she put it on manual at some point. I tried a couple of things like connecting it to bluetooth only and not Apple CarPlay because I was thinking it needed to connect that way to update the time. I have had it connected to Apple CarPlay. I have a couple of Android phones around so I'll connect one of those and see if Android Auto makes a difference. I think it might just be a bug though.
