Yeah, when are the "legacy automakers" going to get with the program. Tesla would never do something shady like charge you $1000 just because you didn't want the car in black.
Some of the dealers around here do this, too, but it's usually something like a $50 cargo net or a $100 cargo mat. So nothing particularly expensive (particularly when compared to the taxes and fees you end up paying anyway).
