I use the Android auto via USB every single day. I've had this happen a couple times, and restarting the car doesn't do anything, it fixes spontaneously. All audio and the USB will stop working, as if it's not even plugged in. Radio makes no sound. The start-up and powder down sound effects don't play. Tried searching, couldn't find similar issues. Anyone have a clue?

Interesting -- I use the Apple Car play and have the same issue. Happened just yesterday, actually. Thought it was just crappy Apply QC. Now, not so sure.

One workaround I use is switching to a preset radio station for a minute and then switching back to CarPlay audio. This normally fixes it. Might be worth a try.

This has happened to me before and it's come up in other threads.

It seems that myLink gets hung up. The only way I have found to fix the problem is to pull over, turn the car off, open the car door, shut it, and turn the car back on. Depending on the particular roadway one is on... this can be more or less challenging...

I've found that this type of thing tends to happen when placing a call through the phone when plugged in via USB. I place my calls one of two ways:
- Unplug the phone from USB and make the call. Once connected via myLink bluetooth, plug the phone back in to resume Android Auto features.
- Place calls using Android Auto voice commands.

^ When placing calls in these two ways, I haven't had the hang-ups happen.
