Assembly line employee sues Tesla for racial discrimination; Tesla goes "meh"

http://www.cnbc.com/2017/03/28/tesl...lawsuit-filed-by-an-assembly-line-worker.html

A black Tesla employee claims he was subjected to being called racial slurs by co-workers between summer 2015 and spring 2016. Tesla's initial investigation didn't find any definitive evidence of his claims. The employee then submitted video of the alleged abuse to Tesla's HR department, but never conducted a follow-up investigation.

I think this is now the 3rd claim of abuse/discrimination in the past 6 months or so? What's the saying? Where there's smoke, there's fire?

Where there's smoke, there's a smokescreen.

If this is legit, Mr Lambert will have lawyers calling him night and day to represent him and take Tesla to the woodshed/cleaners.

If he lawyers up this could get ugly for Tesla. I suspect there will be a quiet out of court settlement for some "undisclosed" amount of cash and no claim of responsibility by Tesla.

Pretty damning if the employee submitted a video to Tesla's HR department, and they never conducted a follow-up investigation because the HR employee "didn't hand off the investigation to anyone" when they left the company days after. Is communication so poor in Tesla's HR dept that even serious cases of alleged abuse just slip through the cracks?

But who cares about HR! Gotta focus on the Model 3 and autonomous driving!

If you read the bottom, the plaintiff is currently suspended with pay due to:

... Lambert is currently suspended on full pay by Tesla as the firm investigates alleged threats of violence from him to other co-workers.

Sounds like a countersuit especially when you consider the timing and delay.
