I have read all the post on here about the the re gen saw noise but cant find an answer to clarify my issue. Its not the loud noise you can hear from far away but can be heard when you are next to a curb or a wall where the sound reflects back. I can also hear it with the windows up when driving in L but only when stopping or re gen is active. I took it to the dealer a month ago and they compared my 2013 to their MY2012 and said it sounds the same. I guess I would like others to confirm that my "silent" electric car should sound embarrassing when driving up to people in a parking lot.

Is the noise "normal" or does the not so savvy Volt dealer not want to work on the car. FWIW all of the local dealers are this way down in south Alabama

Does it sound like a 10" table saw winding down after it's powered off? It's a fairly loud winding down noise. People and dogs will stop and stare I am told.
