Hi All,

Another long day trip to the mother-in-law's, started out at 15 F and roads turned out to be terrible. Freeway had frozen ice/snow, big headwind, the further north we went, there were cars in the ditch all over. We made it but EV range suffered, although the gas range was pretty good considering the conditions. 28 F when we returned. Looking forward to warmer weather and driving mostly EV around town and my wife's commute! This car always amazes me.

Well you must love her very much, never was there a better reason not to go. The trip was from where to where?

Around 120 miles as the crow flies. That is a long trip, in poor conditions.

Kindly consider including a signature tag in your posts, as we all wonder what you have.

What tires do you have?

I hear you, pal. I’m in north central Ohio and while not quite as cold as you, it’s murder on EV miles. Summer, I’m up around 48, or so. Winter’s a little over half that.

Sorry, 2017 Volt LT, Goodyear WeatherReady tires (after 50K on OEM tires), not much of a hit on range but so much better than the originals in snow and rain. About to hit 89,000 miles.
