Chevrolet Miray To Be Shown At Frankfurt Auto Show

Story:
http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2011/08/chevrolet-miray-to-be-shown-at-frankfurt-auto-show.html

"The Miray’s “mid-electric” propulsion system, located behind and beneath the driver, has been engineered to maximize performance and fuel efficiency. The two front mounted 15-kW electric motors are powered by a 1.6 kWh lithium-ion battery that is charged through regenerative braking energy. Interestingly, power can be switched from front-wheel to rear-wheel drive. The hybrid system is also powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine positioned behind the cockpit. The powertrain is mated to a dual-clutch transmission, that has been tuned for improved top speed in performance mode."

Cool looking car, but arguably not as capable as the Volt (the greatest car on the planet). I'm guessing 65K loaded.

With all the battery related news the last couple of weeks, I've got to guess that GM has big plans in the electric car arena. Not sure it will be the miray, but who knows.

Nice curves! But seriously, you would need a helmet to avoid bugs in your face with that low windshield (I know concepts have silly non-production-viable stuff.)
