Hi guys!

Do any one of you know if it is possible to somehow get android auto onto the gen 1 volt/ampera?=) Would be really neat!

Some hack with touch support or anything?
It would require a new head unit. The issue with that being that the GM head units integrate very tightly with a number of devices on the CAN bus for vehicle settings, energy information, etc, so it would need to be an OEM GM head unit. The issue with that being that I'm sure the 2016+ head units are completely and entirely incompatible with older vehicles because of protocol changes. I don't think it would be possible.

Swap heads? - No
Swap cars? - This works, but is horribly expensive.

Just live with Bluetooth/USB/Aux cable.

This reminds me of the time I had my first iPod and wanted to add a $36K BMW 3 series as an accessory to my iPod because it had a built-in 30 pin cable, controls on the steering wheel, and could display song titles on the center console. My wife veto'd that stupid idea

Android Auto will run as a stand alone app on your phone. Just get a phone holder and mount it somewhere on the dash. Maybe a small android tablet if you don't want to use the phone for navigation.
