On the vehicle inspection report, there are two amounts: "Chargeable" and "Non-chargeable". Based on the wording, I assume that I am only responsible for the "Chargeable" amount. On my inspection report this is $0.

Can someone who has turned in an Ally lease and received such a report confirm my interpretation of these terms?

That is my recollection of how my Volt was handled after turned in last September.

I believe that you are correct in your interpretation. IIRC, Non-chargeable refers to noted blemishes, etc. that are considered normal wear and tear. Chargeable covers those that are considered beyond normal wear and tear.

I sweated my return to Ally Bank but, in the end, owed them nothing for abnormal wear and tear. I won't be leasing again. It is too limiting for me (and nerve-wracking). I like my spontaneous day trips and my annual road trip. Lease mileage limits would (and did) put a major crimp in those pleasantries.
