I went to Target for some stuff yesterday, got back out to the car, hit the button on the door handle, and opened the door after I heard the locks click. A second later my alarm went off. Obviously the car recognized my remote because the doors unlocked when I pressed the button. My remote's unlock button instantly turned the alarm off, but I'm still baffled as to why the alarm went off after unlocking the car with the remote in range.

This happened once before, except with the hatchback...I was parking at the airport, locked the car, threw some stuff in the garbage nearby, then opened the back hatch with the car locked to get my luggage out and the alarm went off. I attributed this to opening it too soon after locking with the remote (double-press lock button) but yesterday at Target it had been locked for at least 10 minutes.

Anyone else experienced this? Should I just wait longer before opening the doors after unlocking?

I had something similar happen a while ago. My doors were already unlocked, and opening the passenger side set off the alarm. Never happened again since. Must've been a software bug.

PS: I do have auto locking doors enabled.
