I've had this intermittent rattle/buzz from my passengers side rear door for a while now and just couldn't seem to find the source.

I was vacuuming out the car last night and lo-what should I find but some pocket change that must have dropped down to the side of the back seat at some point from a pocket.

Removed the change and so far the sound hasn't come back. I can only hope that the fix was really that simple.

Good find - hope that was it!

I had an annoying rattle that I couldn't isolate - it was intermittent and seemed to move as I tried to locate the source. Kinda embarrassing, but after a few days I was relieved to discover that it was the snap on my jacket collar!! I no longer have that jacket...

LOL.. I can see that. I had a jacket with a big zipper that used to jingle like a little bell.

This is more common than people realize. The soda can rolling around under the seat is also a big source of noise. Glad you found it without taking your car in for service.
