Today I installed this to keep record of kWh used to charge my Volt and total cumulative energy used by my EVSE. That way it's easy to know how many kilometers per real kWh paid for over time. Just use odometer from car and kWh from this meter.

Measures Voltage, Amps, Watts and KWh. Will report back statistics logged through time.

This is what it was using once I plugged it back after installing the meter. Note the battery was fully charged, so this was either battery cell balancing or cooling.

The best part, it's only $16.98!

Trivial pursuit to me. I kept records for about a year and discovered the kWh used was not even a rounding error for my total. When I use 3500+ kWH, Volt/ELR is very trivial. I just plug $30/mo now into my app. Close enough.

28% loss while charging?

Used 5 kWh on this drive.

Took 6.4 kWh to restore that energy and fully charge HV Battery.

@26C, it likely used some AC cooling while charging, increasing the energy used.
I'd expect 5.6kWh optimum to recharge 5kWh
0.8 for AC is not exceptionally high.
Consider the fuzzy rounding of kWh used, full charge, and full empty points and you're looking at +/- 0.2kWh as well.
