So my AC has been intermittent off/on, mostly off for several weeks now. One day I hit a speed bump hard and it kicked on, but when i shut it off and turned it back on again the ac wouldnt come on on again. The fan doesnt blow at all it seems.

The last three nights I noticed something. Right around sunset it all of a sudden will kick on. I have it on all day but it never blows, then right when the sun starts setting it kicks on.

Ideas?

Your Volt is equipped with a lesser known option called Vampire HVAC. It only comes on after sunset and is highly affected by sunlight, so much so that it won't work in the daytime.

Sorry, couldn't resist. I hope it fixes itself or someone knows what might be happening...

I had a 2014 in the other day that would stop blowing air at times. Could never get the problem to happen but then I checked all the connectors for the blower motor and found the connector for the blower motor control module was very loose. I secured the connector in to the module and the car has not been back since. The blower control module (used to be the blower resister) is located near the blower motor behind the glove box area.
