AC Flush Maintenance

Hi All,

As the owner of a 2017 Volt LT and a 2011 Volt Premiere (son's car), I got to thinking about AC maintenance and the desiccant filter. Has anyone had this maintenance done? I see the 2011 User Manual says every 10 years to flush and replace the desiccant filter and the 2017 manual doesn't even mention it. Given how EVs run AC to cool the battery and electronics, I was thinking this might be a good idea. I did a quick search of the forum but didn't really find much on this subject or I just didn't look that hard. ;)

Given how that is likely pushing towards the end of the HV battery life anyway, I'd say it's not something to worry about.

Over time, desiccant filters can become saturated with moisture and lose their effectiveness.
