I recently bought a 2015 Spark EV from Carvana and I'm loving every minute of ownership. What a cool little car.

Hahaha! I just bought a Spark for $7300 from a BMW dealer w 30k miles. Needless to say it was in prime condition w new tires. I already have a Bolt but wanted the battery for a solar system storage when I put together next year. But a great little car for errands and shopping for supplies. The backup car is an old Intrepid that is dinging me keeping track of the little things which I take care of myself. The problem is I do it myself. :p But my wife is liking it for going back and forth to take care of her Mom, which just kills the old car as it doesn't get warmed up. And we don't have to discuss who drives what for each outing. I have other rigs for heavy duty but they sit a lot.

If she really gets to loving the car then maybe I'll have to buy another battery out of a junked Spark. Could be worse.

There's a reason it has new tires. I tried to keep my foot out of it but was unable to make it through a 3-year lease without replacing the front tires. Turned it in with around 18K and came home with a Bolt, which is also hard on the front tires, but at least a Bolt allows for tire rotation.

Enjoy it, I did, but ultimately the Bolt keeps me from needing to quick charge at my destination every couple of months and runs on cheaper domestically sourced electrons almost exclusively. Plus when I needed to do a 500 mile RT road trip the QC is only needed on one stop and at the destination.

I'd be interested in the details of your planned storage system when you get around to it.

El Dobro, I'm glad to see you are broadminded about your approach to cars. It's a sin that many owners of ICE vehicles dismiss them outright. I like when someone takes a gamble on a car that isn't highly favoured, so I lift my shot glass of whisky to you and wish you a long and happy dance with your Spark!

I thank you and little Spark-E thanks you! I've had it for just a little more than a year now and I've put more mileage on it than I did the Volt. Go figure. :D
