The guy in the left picture in that article looks like he's put his finger into one too many outlets over the years.

GM tried the new division route with Saturn. It's simply not cost effective. Instead GM needs to migrate the Voltec drive train into all their car and truck lines as a hybrid or PHEV option for each line. Also they need to get rid of the "Eco" trims and make this drivetrain package available for all trims, decoupling the creature features from the drivetrain features.
