So I purchased a 2018 volt LT with leather for 5500 off msrp today. It was a 36460 msrp volt. I was able to negotiate 7000 off a premier volt at 2 dealerships but the msrp of those were around 41k. My goal was to get the volt for less than 25k after the tax rebate. The final price came out to be 31,000-7500 = 23500. tax and fees was like 79.99 which isn't too bad. This is in georgia which doesn't have any state rebates. Did i do ok?

The thought here was that the tax rebate would phase out by the middle of 2019 and thus it won't be easy to get a dealer discount plus a tax rebate in the future. I might be wrong...

You did well. Now with the 2019 Volt's arriving I would have to believe that GM may also kick in a incentive to move the 2018 Volt Models off the lots.

That's what I'm thinking, but a 2000.00 regional rebate expires today. Seems like another may be offered. There seems to be a lot of 2018's still available

Hey! Could you share with me the dealerships you got that Prmiere discount from? I'm in Atlanta as well, cancelled my Model 3 order, and will get the Volt Premiere... need it b/c I want ACC.

It's pretty rare that there is less money on the table. At the end of a quarter it dries up only to come back fairly quickly, and more plentiful.

Yea. I got the 7k from Jim ellis and john Thornton. They have the Costco holiday special going on now so maybe you can get a better deal? I heard it adds another 700 dollars off.

Looks like Jim ellis is giving out 6500 off an LT. best deal I’ve seen and much cheaper than my deal. Adding the $700 from Costco makes it even better. Crazy how much difference a few days makes. How do I return my volt?

The $700 gift card is only for 2019 GM products. They do offer a certificate for $500 from any dealer to stack in whatever dea you can make on a 2018.
