I have had a 2006 and 2012 Prius, and now a 2017 Volt for almost a year. Even though my daily commute is 40 to 50 miles, I only put gas in when I have to go out of town. It really is 2 cars in one, but as I am getting older and harder to get down into the car, and have grandkids, I was looking at an SUV. I love the voltec system and for me a CrossVolt looks perfect. I see a lot of other car makers going in that direction, but the all-electric range is too low for me. An SUV with at least 50 miles in EV mode plus a gas backup seems ideal.
