Nice work! I've been thinking about doing that on all three of our cars that have Bowties (the Camaro does not have bowties).

I like silvered out bowties best

Yes, black bowties are better. And silvered out plasti dipped bowties even better. :)

My 2018 Volt came with blacked bowties. My wife wanted to know if we could get a blacked out a steering wheel bowtie.
I plasti dipped it yesterday.

Any advice on how to remove the steering wheel bow tie in my Gen 2 (and not honking the horn over and over)? It seems to be embedded with some short pegs. I'd like to fill that space with a small badge from the Opel universe.

Thanks

I'd remove the whole airbag assembly (disconnect the 12V battery 30+ seconds before starting the work). Normally held in with two screws accessible behind covers on each side of the steering wheel. Haven't checked the Volt specifically though.

Once you have the airbag+cover off, you'll be able to figure it out from there.
