Bought a new Volt 2 months ago and have 2K miles. Love the car except for the radio and one extremely frustrating rattle that seems to be coming from the back of the car. I have taken to my local dealer with no luck. Anyone or have heard of a rattle coming from the vehicle? It only occurs on certain bumps so it'd tough to follow.

Rattles can be a bitch to hunt down. I had one in my 2013 that turned out to be a rubber bushing in the right rear shock mount. It could be associated with the rear hatch, about the only thing an owner can do is play with the two rubber stops that can be adjusted by turning them. I believe counter-clockwise raises them, so I'd try that. Turn it maybe a one full turn and see if that helps.
I assume you inspected every nook and cranny in the hatch area for anything that could be LOOSE?

Can be hard to tell from the driver's seat. Get someone else to drive while you investigate from the back seat. If you think it is suspension or muffler, have somebody drive over speed bumps in a parking lot while you stand outside and nearby.
