After 9 years of owning a Prius, I jumped at a Gen 1 volt that I had bought for a good price. What an upgrade that purchase was.

After just 3 months of a Gen 1 ownership, I jumped at a dealer demo of an electric blue 2017 Premier with all the safety packages available. If I had thought that the upgrade from the Prius to Gen 1 was large, the Gen 2 is blowing my mind.

Still getting to know all the features of my car, probably only know about 50% of the car so far. Looking forward to learning my new vehicle over the next few months.

I saw a brand new (and butt ugly) Prius yesterday and just sighed.

Hello from West Michigan, and congrats on the blue Gen 2...you clearly have good taste ;)

Only in a Volt would you own a car for three months and decide you liked it so much you had to upgrade to the newer version! So what's happening with the Gen 1? Did you trade it in?

Yes, traded it in to the dealership. Got them up on price by over $1,600 from original offer. Probably could have fetched another $1,000 in a private sale, but I wanted to transfer the plate and not deal with another transaction or holding onto the Gen1 for another day/week/month.
