2017 Outside Air Temperature Wire Colors - ERDTT Override
Hello everyone. My trusty 2012 Volt met its demise recently from a small accident that damaged critical (expensive) components. 180k miles with the original front brakes still. I am getting a 2017 Volt next week. On my 2012, I tapped into the temperature sensor wires going to the computer under the passenger seat and connected to a switch and resistor pack. When switched off, the car read the actual outside temperature. When on, it read a constant 28 degrees. I saved a lot of gas having this modification and want to do it on my 2017. I haven't found what wire colors, or pinout numbers go to the OAT sensor on the Gen 2. I assume the computer is still under the passenger seat, but maybe it's located somewhere else? On the Gen 1 models, it was pin 26 and 40. I would really love to know the pin numbers and wire colors. Does anyone have this info they could share with me? Thank you.

I don't, but the trick of wrapping a resistor wrapped around the air temp sensor terminals should still work on Gen 2 as a last resort. Had that on my 2011 for about 6 years now. Getting ERDTT on short local trips or just pulling out of the garage always bothered me.Does anyone have a Gen2 service manual they can look this up for me?
I wasn't able to get a resistor to fit between the terminals on my Gen2's sensor and still have the sensor able to be plugged in, but someone else may have smaller resistors on hand.
