Just want to share the details of my recently acquired lease. Browsing these forums helped me with a target price and understanding the whole lease process... i hope this helps .

Base LT MSRP =$ 34095
Negotiated Price =$ 29525
Residual is .50 (12k/yr , 36 months)
Rebates = Did not have a previous lease, no farm, no costco. so rebates were 7360. (gm financial lease, chevy select ccr, and bonus tag)
Capitalized cost reduction = $7302.75.
Taxes on capitalized cost reduction , first month payment, license fees, titile fees, doc fees, tire fee = $1248.92

Paid out of pocket $1,000
Payment = $191.67 .

I'm still a little unsure on why the taxable rebates i received were 7360 (according to customer acknowledgement )but the actual rebates and non-cash credits on lease agreement shows 7551.67 plus my 1000 for a total of 8551 as amount due at lease signing.

But basically my negotiating tactic was, i knew going in that for the 34k volt, if the sale price was 30k with 1400 down my payments would be sub 200. I didn't negotiate payment amount... I negotiated Car sale price and my down payment after setting a benchmark over email.

Good job and discount! Not sure if it's too late, can't hurt to ask; Costco is offering a $700 cash card if you have the $110 membership. You gain $590 and get a year of a costco membership. Show up to your local Costco tomorrow and despite how crazy last minute shoppers will be, very few will be in the membership line. Once you're inside the building you'll walk out with a card in 10mins...
