Hi All, I searched the forum but was unable to find much useful information re: convertible car seats for a 2017 Volt. I am looking to purchase a convertible car seat for my 9 month old - does anyone have any recommendations or advice

You may have to move the front seats up a little for it to fit, but otherwise there shouldn't be any real problems. The car has tethers in the rear, or you can use the seat belts. I've done both in other cars. The only other issue you may have is angle. Given the cant of the rear seats, you may need to roll up a towel and stick it under the car seat to get the proper angle.

I have two Radian RXT car seats in my 2017 Volt. One is rear facing, the other forward. I did need to purchase the foam wedge adaptor from the manufacturer. They work great in the car. I also have the rear facing behind the passenger seat with plenty of room for the passenger.

We have used both Chicco NextFit and Clek Fllo behind driver seat in rear and front facing. driver legroom is reduced when rear facing - I am 6'2 and I could fit with some discomfort. Front facing is no problem regarding legroom; can't speak to c pillar.

Fllo is a better choice for width, but even with two Clek models the middle seat is "usable" - and i use that term very loosely - by only a very slender adult and probably more realistically by a larger child.
