Have you ever used Rainex or a similar product? They shine their best at night driving in rain. You literally sometimes can't even tell it's raining at night, aside from the sound.OEM blades. Available on ebay for less than $20 each. Wipers are not something to skimp on, not being able to see in the rainy dark is no fun. Common wisdom suggests a 6 month replacement interval. I usually replace mine once a year.
a bit more information....Try cleaning existing wipers with denatured alcohol. if that does not fix the issue, you can either stick with OEM or use Bosch 260E wipers. I buy them from Advance Auto Parts when they have discount promos.
At the San Jose Auto Show last Jan, almost every new car on display had ICON, or ICON-like, aero wipers. The only exceptions I could find were a few low rent Korean cars.a bit more information....
The Factory OEM blades are BOSCH ICON 26A (Drivers Side) and BOSCH ICON 26B (Passengers Side). These are directional blades due to the little aero spoiler on them. If you get them reversed some cars have had some pretty bad chattering or poor wiper performance issue.
Are you referring to Gen 1 or Gen 2 cars?a bit more information....

The other Bosch ICON blades (the 260E mentioned above) are -not- right and left handed, but seem to work fine for a co-worker of mine and are the blades recommended at most stores and in most non-gm references that don't mention left and right blades.
I appreciate that. I've always ran Bosch & OEM myself and feel they last longer than cheaper store alternatives personally. And down the rabbit hole we go.
The OEM listed blades for 2012 to 2015 as listed w/GM part numbers are,
WIPER BLADE - GM (22742323)LEFT
WIPER BLADE - GM (22742324)RIGHT
Nearly everyone that is NOT GM related lists the BOSCH 26OE, (Original Equipment) which is just a lie as this is NOT the OEM design. I presume this has come about because it's easier to mass produce and keep one "ambidextrous" blade in stock than to carry two for a specific, relatively small, vehicle line.
I can assure you that the BOSCH ICON 26A (Drivers Side) and BOSCH ICON 26B (Passengers Side) fit the 2013 Volt and look identical to the actual, came-with-the-car OEM wipers I pulled off last year including the little "aero wing" along the edge.
However, having said that it is true that ordering the OEM wipers listed at the top is way cheaper. I only mention the BOSCH because sometimes you get caught in a bad storm, REALLY need wipers, and have to dash in to the nearest auto store for whatever is available so you can see safely on the road.
BOSCH. Though someone mentioned some that might have been made by Trico. I've never found any reference to that anywhere.Who makes the OEM blades for GM?
Wow, my bad, I'm usually more diligent than that. The original question was for a replacement wiper blade for a 2016. Reading thru the various responses I think most responses apply to Gen 1 or maintenance steps.
