LOL, I am still on the original blades and mine is a 2012. I have noticed if a car is garage kept, the blades last MUCH longer. I don't have any suggestions though, but as good as mine have been I will probably just buy a new OEM set.

I don't keep my cars in a garage, but if you keep your wiper blades clean, using vinegar and use Rainex or similar products they should be good for at least a few years.

OEM blades. Available on ebay for less than $20 each. Wipers are not something to skimp on, not being able to see in the rainy dark is no fun. Common wisdom suggests a 6 month replacement interval. I usually replace mine once a year.

mine are now 6 years old, (garaged), and still work like new, best ones I have ever seen.

Try cleaning existing wipers with denatured alcohol. if that does not fix the issue, you can either stick with OEM or use Bosch 260E wipers. Ibuy them from Advance Auto Parts when they have discount promos.

Have you ever used Rainex or a similar product? They shine their best at night driving in rain. You literally sometimes can't even tell it's raining at night, aside from the sound.

a bit more information....

The Factory OEM blades are BOSCH ICON 26A (Drivers Side) and BOSCH ICON 26B (Passengers Side). These are directional blades due to the little aero spoiler on them. If you get them reversed some cars have had some pretty bad chattering or poor wiper performance issue.

The other Bosch ICON blades (the 26OE mentioned above) are -not- right and left handed, but seem to work fine for a co-worker of mine and are the blades recommended at most stores and in most non-gm references that don't mention left and right blades.

(Correction, fixed my typo on 260OE, I had typed a zero not an O, but OE stands for "Original Equipment" in the BOSCH lexicon)

Additonal edit/correction: I was boneheaded and didn't notice we were talking about Gen2 (2016) My bad and I apologize.
For 2016
OEM part numbers
23251330 LEFT
23251332 RIGHT

At the San Jose Auto Show last Jan, almost every new car on display had ICON, or ICON-like, aero wipers. The only exceptions I could find were a few low rent Korean cars.

Are you referring to Gen 1 or Gen 2 cars?
I just looked the 26A & 26B up today, Amazon states they do not fit the 2012 Volt.
Autozone web site indicates my 2012 takes the Bosch ICON 26OE / http://www.autozone.com/ignition-tu...-windshield/chevrolet/volt?filters=4294916680

It looks like the OEM blade is PN 22742324 ? Is that a LH or RH blade?

Rockauto shows PN 19252699 fits left or right?

And down the rabbit hole we go.

The OEM listed blades for 2012 to 2015 as listed w/GM part numbers are,
WIPER BLADE - GM (22742323)LEFT
WIPER BLADE - GM (22742324)RIGHT

Nearly everyone that is NOT GM related lists the BOSCH 26OE, (Original Equipment) which is just a lie as this is NOT the OEM design. I presume this has come about because it's easier to mass produce and keep one "ambidextrous" blade in stock than to carry two for a specific, relatively small, vehicle line.

I can assure you that the BOSCH ICON 26A (Drivers Side) and BOSCH ICON 26B (Passengers Side) fit the 2013 Volt and look identical to the actual, came-with-the-car OEM wipers I pulled off last year including the little "aero wing" along the edge.

However, having said that it is true that ordering the OEM wipers listed at the top is way cheaper. I only mention the BOSCH because sometimes you get caught in a bad storm, REALLY need wipers, and have to dash in to the nearest auto store for whatever is available so you can see safely on the road.

I appreciate that. I've always ran Bosch & OEM myself and feel they last longer than cheaper store alternatives personally.
I will look up the second GM part number you shared as well. While I don't need them yet, I want to have a set in the garage as we head into this winter.

Who makes the OEM blades for GM?

The original question was for a replacement wiper blade for a 2016. Reading thru the various responses I think most responses apply to Gen 1 or maintenance steps.
1)The recommended search on Ebay yielded 1 item which claimed left and right fit up which appears to disagree with the info reported in the responses.....which makes the ebay listing suspicious.
2)The original GM numbers given appear for Gen 1 application.
3} I did a search on the Bosch 26a and 26b and they do not fit gen 2 according to the sellers listings.

So I am hoping someone has the answer for a Gen 2 right and left application as to GM numbers, Bosch numbers, NAPA, Advance Auto,
etc.

My own check at the NAPA website revealed not carried at this time.

Wow, my bad, I'm usually more diligent than that.

For 2016
OEM part numbers
23251330 LEFT
23251332 RIGHT

Gen 1 reference HERE
Gen 2 reference HERE

Though damned if I can tell why you'd have a different part number. As far as I can tell the only difference is the Gen1 parks the blades with the passengers side on top and the Gen 2 parks them with the drivers side on top.

I tell you what, on Monday I'll park my Gen1 next to my co-workers Gen2 and see if she'll let me try to swap blades just to see if they fit and then I'll report back.

Unfortunately, my OEM blades were junk from the first day I drove it off the lot in July. They just streak and smear crap all over the windshield....even after cleaning the window and wipers. I finally stopped to buy a new set last week but gave up after standing in line at Advance Auto for almost 10 mins with no movement. I had picked up the BOSCH 26OE for both sides. I put them back and walked out. I figured I'd just buy them online and have them delivered. Interesting to note that GM calls out a right and left
