So there is no drain plug??
Just the fill-level plug?

bequa,

There is no "dip stick" to check the transaxle fluid level but there is a fill level procedure removing the "overflow" plug and adding special synthetic fluid (dielectric meaning non electrically conductive) that overflows the open hole when filling to the exact level required. The manual recommends changing out the transaxle fluid at around 100K. I would not check or mess with the fluid unless you are doing a complete change. These complex cars only let you change engine motor oil, fan belts, brake pads and oil/air filters. When I open the hood in the Volt, I feel like I'm 14 all over again, staring in wonder at how it all works.

Hello,

I could not find any article about 2016 Volt transmission fluid level check and replacement,
It is not written in Owners manual also, although fluid capacity is written Dexron VI 6quarts.

Anybody knows how to check fluid level and replace transmission oil ?

Thanks!
