Just FYI My $7500 is in the bank. This is my 5th $7500. I have really gotten use to paying almost no Federal Income tax. Turbo Tax worked fine. It took 10 days from filing to having my money in my checking account!

My third rebate is en-route. Also managed to snag Illinois $4,000 ($actually it was $3914 or 10% of MSRP up to $4k) cash rebate twice. Program was killed in 2014 though.

Luck You!!!!! NC gives ZILCH I have feeling a 2018 next Jan will be my last chance at the $7500 as GM gets closer to having sold its allotted number. After that it would be Jan 2019 for me and by then it's doubtful the full $7500 will still be available. Its kind of bittersweet for me. I want GM to sell a bunch of plugins! But I hate to see the $7500 go away. The more they sell the quicker it is going to disappear.

Each year until the last time I have been able to swap for less than the $7500 tax credit. When you can trade for a new car and the cost is nothing it's a no brainer. In 2017 they caught up with me and the tax credit did not cover the whole deal. But, I am still in pretty good shape.

Well, sometime in 2014 they suspended the IL EV rebate program, so I really feel for the folks who bought their cars expecting it, submitted the paperwork, the found out after the fact there's nothing for them. I luckily got my $3914 rebate in March 2014 before the suspension.

I just submitted my return last night, already approved by the IRS. Good thing I qualify for the Bolt's $7,500 credit...without it, I would have been paying Uncle Sam a chunk of change.
