if there is a engine light on go to any auto parts store and they can connect and give you the codes.

turn car on and off a few times and check the 12 volt battery voltage.

They may have put you into service mode which can drain the 12 volt battery

Just wanted to update on this. Had already tried turning car on and off again multiple times.

When I took it in for service, they said it charged fine. I am assuming they plugged something in for diagnostics and it turned off service mode or whatever it was in from the smog check person plugging their thing in. Car is charging fine now.
