Purchasing a 2016 premier and there is this extra switch on the head lamp bezel. It looks factory. What is it??

Dashboard light dimmer, push it to pop out and adjust. RTFM.
Its the button for the ambient lighting kit, which was an option for the car. If you press that button, it should change the color of the lights in the footwells and in the front cup holders.

Thanks for the info. Was this installed at the factory or was it a dealership add-on? Also do the second generation vault have the LED light strip in the door panel like my ELR? I’m purchasing this car site unseen.
I recall the option was a dealer-installed item. (I installed mine so I would be sure it wouldn't be jacked up.)
It was a more-complicated-than normal install. It mainly involved removing trim panels and running the wire harness. However, the procedure requires removing terminals from a harness plug (at the switch circled in the original post) and then drilling holes in the cup holder for the LEDs.

Yes, on Premier trim. Fixed blue color that dims with the dash brightness.

if you press it in, it changes colors
What he described is exactly how it works in my '17, it's a dash dimmer. With ambient lighting equipped cars, it dims both.

The door lighting or the dealer added footwell/cupholder lighting? I hate blue lighting on car interiors...

There was one of those on my G/f's old 2006 Malibu. You push it in, it pops out and you can twist it to dim or brighten the gauge illumination.
