I recently purchased a 2014 Volt and I am not a big fan of the key fob. The buttons are very mushy and unresponsive at times. I prefer a satisfying click. Also the flip out key gets dirty a breaks up the design making it less streamlined. I had a 2014 Hyundai Sonata before this and loved that key. Very clicky and responsive and the key was hidden inside the fob. I have seen the new 2016-2017 Volt key and it looks much nicer. Would anyone know if it could be programmed for use with an older Volt? 2014 specifically. I figure its likely since it wouldn't be cost effective to completely redesign the wireless technology used however there could be some sort of lockout too.
