Sorry if this belongs in an existing thread. I'm new to the forum... Yesterday I fully discharged my 2015 Volt. When the gas engine started, the car started counting gas miles and stopped counting electric miles, as expected. When I got home I plugged the car in, but by the morning it was not fully recharged (still using the 120V Level 1 charger that came with the car). During my drive to work this morning, I noticed that the car was still counting the miles driven as gas miles, not electric miles, even though the gas engine was not running. The energy used display was not adding KwH used, but also not showing that I was burning any more gas. Has anyone ever seen this happen? Thanks.

When you push a friends car up the hill - he will thank you but he needs to thank you again as the car rolls down the hill too.

The Volt gas engine wants the credit of any energy it places into the battery.

I've seen it happen on my 2014. Same situation... Full discharge and then partial recharge under certain conditions. It's a programming glitch, but you should see the trip odometer/gas use and the information reported to Onstar, as well as the lifetime MPG numbers calculating correctly.
